One week in “Zombie Land”
January 26, 2010
When we hear the word zombies, one thought comes out in our minds the undead, living dead or whatever you want to call it. In addition, they strive and longing to eat the flesh of human beings. <damn, could you give them raw meat instead> hehehehehehe.
However, I would like to share to you my close meeting with a real life zombie. His name is Mr. Rob—Zombie (joke, joke, joke) kala ninyo naman kilala ko siya. Anyways, this past 7 days I noticed that wherever I go and do there is a zombie that stands on my way. I keep asking myself “Heck! is this purely coincidental or what?” Malayo pa naman ang Halloween at wala pa namang rabies outbreak dito sa Philippines. Sometimes i always ask myself, is this a sign that something bad is gonna happen?? I don’t think so as long as I have faith in the Almighty nothing will go wrong.
Here are the following list that coincides with my meeting with the undead:
- Monday- I surfed the net and guess what? I found out a website that has a Plants Vs. Zombies free download. As we all know this tower defense game or should I say a lawn defense game is very addictive to all ages (lalo na sa mga taong mahilig sa mga strategy games). Kaya sa mga taong gustong magsisimula sa mga strategy games recommended ko sa inyo ito.
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday- While I’m browsing the channel in the TV and I tuned in to Cinemax . Alam ninyo ba ang palabas? “QUARANTINE”. It is a horror movie and it is filmed in the “found footage” style, very similar to the Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity and Cloverfield. Compare to other zombie flicks kung saan malawak ang setting o venue ng movie, this movie is only confined in an apartment building. It all started with this tv reporter who is making a documentary about the firemen in Los Angeles until they received a distress call from a resident in the apartment and the rest is history. What is eerie about the movie is that it has no background music, no original scores or whatever just pure sheer terror and gory scenes. I watched the movie three times in three consecutive days kaya sa tuwing nakabukas ang tv at naka tuned in sa Cinemax snasabi ko sa sarili ko na “Pustahan tayo Quarantine na naman ang palabas” hehehehehehehe.
- Friday- As usual friday night is gimmick night, I’m with my girlfriend and we went to *Patio De Liz (* it is a restobar in Gapan City just a few walks away from our house). S’yempre we order our favorite foods and we ate dinner. After that, we chat and she confessed to me that she had a very bad dream, curious naman ako kaya ko tinanong ko sa kanya kung ano yung napaginipan niya. She said that she was on a house infested with zombies at ang sabi niya kinagat daw siya sa leeg, pabiro ko naman sinabi na sayang ako na lang sana ang kumagat kaya nabatukan ako ng isang manipis :’( too bad for me.
- Saturday and Sunday- Rest day and family day, walang stress at wala ng zombies salamat naman. when i was in my room and playing with my laptop i heard 3 knocks on the door, i found out that i was my mom she asked me:
Mom: May gagawin ka ba ngayon?
Me: Wala naman po, bakit?
Mom: Ang kapaitd mo kasi nag-aayang manood ng sine…
Me: Whoa! sige ang tagal ko ng hindi nakakapanood ng *sine (*2012 was the last movie that i have seen).
Me: Saan po tayo manunood? anung movie po ang papanoorin natin?
Mom: Sa Walter Mart daw, ZOMBIELAND….
Until now, I still can’t believe that in the past 7 days these strange things happen. You’ll be the judge, until then that would be all Adrian here signing off.
